Our Philosophy of Worship

Worship is the act of declaring God's worth-ship. The purpose of our worship service is to experience a divine-human encounter. Now, of course, only God can guarantee that outcome. However, He has promised to meet with us when we gather for the right reason and in the right frame of mind. God inhabits the praise of His people. He has commanded believers to enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. We believe that worship exhibits reverence and love toward God. We are to worship Him in spirit and in truth. With this is mind, our worship services are characterized by;

A united voice of praise. Although everyone is welcome to attend our worship services, we believe that worship is actually the activity of genuine believers. Our service is designed to aid Christians in the corporate and enthusiastic expression of God-ward praise.
The clear and uncompromising teaching of the Word of God. The scripture, inspired by the Holy Spirit of God, is the primary method through which God speaks to His people today. Our goal is to apply Biblical truth to the human situation and experience the direction of God for our lives. In successful worship we speak to God and He speaks to us. Thus, a divine, human encounter.
A conscious focus on worship. Our worship team is committed to serving as worship leaders not merely performers. We do strive for excellence, but our goal is to enhance worship. Our praise team leads by example. Our music seeks to exalt the Lord and provide an avenue through which we can express our love and devotion directly to Him through song, meditation, and prayer.
